Hi, I am Benjamin.
I document people who live by their own rules.
I work as a photographer and documentary filmmaker, between still images and film. With every story, the first question I ask is: why is it worth telling?
I rarely find my stories at the centre. More often in markets, in back courtyards, or in places where nobody expects a camera.
I have been self-employed since late 2023, though photography has been with me since my teenage years, a way of seeing long before it became a way of working.
Based in Gols, Austria. Working worldwide.
Films
Short documentaries about companies and the people behind them. Two to three minutes on why you do what you do, and how. One conversation, one day of filming with a small, quiet setup, and the finished film about two weeks later. Based in Austria, working across Europe and beyond, in English or German.
Photography
Reportage, event documentation and portrait series for brands and NGOs. Real people in real situations, no staged shoots.
